Millions of pounds of Chinese honey that has been deemed unsafe for other countries has been flooding the US market.
The USDA is reporting that 37 million pounds of honey came into the country, and it happened to be the same Chinese honey that all 27 EU countries banned due to it containing an abundance of lead and livestock meds.
"Experts interviewed by Food Safety News say some of the largest and most long-established U.S. honey packers are knowingly buying mislabeled, transshipped or possibly altered honey so they can sell it cheaper than those companies who demand safety, quality and rigorously inspected honey".
The FDA is doing nothing about this hazardous honey, and it's probably because they are too busy busting private buying clubs and Amish farmers.
