I get it, really. There is a romantic notion that cowboys ride up in a cloud of dust, throw themselves from the saddle, and eat a tin plate of beans and biscuits, handed to them by a cook aptly named Cookie.
Not true.
They wouldn't say no to grub like that, but the truth is, they stuff a bite to eat into their pockets before leaving at dawn, and come home ravenous after dark. Sorry to be the buzzkill here. There are some fantastic recipes that carry the cowboy title however. Here are 5 of them.
