The USDA has issued a recall of 40,000 pounds of ground beef products headed for Georgia school lunches, due to a possible E. coli contamination.
The beef, produced by Palo Duro Meat in Amarillo, was shipped to two Georgia warehouses, where it was scheduled to be distributed to a variety of places, including six school districts.
It is not believed that the beef had been used before the discovery of the contaminant.
