Sweet and salty baked goods are more popular than ever. We love chocolate with pretzels, sea salt with caramel but how about potato chips with brownies? These brownies are unique to say the least but taste delicious. The potato chips not only add a salty element but also a great crunch. You can use regular salted potato chips or go for the bag of spicy chips as the recipe suggests. Try this recipe and you never know, you might be pleasantly surprised.
Ingredients:
10 TB butter
1 1/4 cups sugar
3/4 cup plus 2 TB unsweetened cocoa powder
1/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp vanilla extract
1/3 cup egg whites
1/2 cup white flour
1 cup Cajun-flavored Potato Chips, crushed
Directions:
Preheat oven to 325 degrees.
In a bowl, combine the cocoa powder, salt, and flour.
Melt the butter, and add it to the dry ingredients, along with the vanilla and egg whites.
Stir until combined, then fold in the potato chips.
Pour into a greased 8×8 Pyrex and bake for 20-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted in the center emerges slightly moist.
