Snacks to Go: Homemade Granola

We are staring down a 5 day road trip with 5 children and 4 dogs. What better way to survive THAT fiasco, than to bring plenty of snacks? Homemade granola to the rescue! 

Homemade Granola is a great way to get some healthy foods into your family, under the disguise of being a treat. 

Walnut and Date Granola

2 cups rolled oats

1 cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
3 fresh mujadool dates, pitted and coarsely chopped
2 teaspoons vanilla powder (or a teaspoon of vanilla extract)
1 teaspoon cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
