These easy breakfast buns include all your favorite morning foods for an on-the-go breakfast option. A lightly sweet dough, rolled around onion and crispy bacon, with a little Gruyere cheese for good measure. Top with a fried egg for the ultimate breakfast, brought to you by Pete Bakes!
Ingredients:
Dough
3/4 cup water
1/2 cup milk
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup honey
1 egg (beaten)
3 1/2 – 4 cups flour
4 tsp instant yeast
1 1/4 tsp salt
Filling
1/2 cup butter
1/3 cup green onion
1/3 cup white/yellow onion
1 Tbsp garlic (minced)
2/3 cup cooked crispy chopped bacon
2 1/2 cups Gruyere cheese
