In-N-Out Sues Grab-N-Go

August 23, 2011

The In-N-Out burger chain is suing Grab-N-Go, a Maryland burger joint, for copyright infringement. In-N-Out alleges that the Grab-N-Go format is dangerously similar to its own chain of restaurants, including its menu layout, logo and menu items.

Although most burger joints serve standards like cheeseburgers, Coca-Cola and fries, In-N-Out may have a case with the Grab-N-Go "wild style burger," which is awfully close to the "animal style" burger In-N-Out devotees recognize from the "secret" menu. As we discussed in July, In-N-Out is also suing Burger Express for allegedly pilfering its business model.

It seems that In-N- Out plans to be in and out of court for a while.
