Fried Dim Sims

Ingredients
1 ton pkt won wrappers
600 grams finely minced pork
100 grams bamboo shoots finely chopped
1 spring onion finely chopped
2 tgablespoons finely chopped fresh coriancler
2 tablespoons light soy sauce
vegetable oil for deep frying
Preparation

Cover the wrappers with a cloth until needed.

In a food processor grind pork until smooth.

Add bamboo shoots spring onion and coriander and work to a smooth paste using hands.

To form the dumplings place a rounded tablespoon of the filling in the centre of a wrapper and press the edges of the wrapper up around the filling to almost enclose it.

Remove and drain on absorbent paper.

Hint. If preferred instead of frying steam the dumplings for about 6 minutes.This recipe also makes about 48 won tons. Use less filling and moisten the edjes of the wrapper fold into a triangle pinch the edges together then bring the two outer points together. Deep fry or steam as above allowing less cooking time than for dim slms.
