Mega coffee chain Starbucks has attempted to further reduce its carbon footprint by working on a project that will use coffee grounds and other food waste to create laundry detergent and other everyday products. The project is currently underway in Hong Kong and sponsored by The Climate Group.
Other companies have been also attempting to reduce their waste. At McDonald's UAE, they're recycling vegetable oil into biodiesel.
