Simple French Toast
Ingredients
Sliced white bread
Butter
Powdered sugar
Syrup
Bread Wash:
3 eggs
1 tsp. powdered sugar
½ tsp. vanilla
¼ tsp. salt
½ cup milk
¼ tsp. cinnamon
Preparation

Combine the above ingredients for the bread wash in a shallow bowl and beat with fork.

Heat a griddle with a pat of butter. Do not have the heat too high or the butter will burn.

Dip the bread in the wash on both sides and place on a griddle. Do not soak the bread or it will fall apart.

Dust the French toast with powdered sugar; add a little extra butter and syrup.
