Hazelnut Almond Biscotti

Ingredients

3 larges eggs
3/4 cup sugar
2 1/2 sticks butter, melted
1 Tablespoon orange zest
1 Tablespoon vanilla
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
2/3 cup Hazelnuts
cup almonds

Preparation

Preheat oven to 350 degrees F.

Beat eggs and sugar. Add butter, zest and vanilla, beat well. Sift flour, soda and add and beat well. Stir in nuts using spoons; divide sticky dough in 1/2.

Place each 1/2 on cookie sheet. Shape into flat loaf 10 x 14 inches.

Bake 20 minutes or until firm. Remove from oven and let cool on a wire rack for about 10 minutes. Reduce oven temperature to 325 F degrees.

Cut loaf into 1/2 inch slices and place on sides on cookie sheet. Bake 7 minutes on each side or until golden brown. Cool on rack.
