Vegetable Biryani

Ingredients
2 cups Basmati rice
1 cup Vegetables steamed(green -peas,beans,carrots, cauliflowerr etc)
2 pcs Onions (medium sized), chopped
2 tablespoons Raisins
2 tablespoons Cashew nuts or slivered -almonds
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Turmeric powder
1 teaspoon Cinnamon powder
1/4 teaspoon Clove powder
1/4 teaspoon Nutmeg powder
1/4 teaspoon Chilli powder
1/4 teaspoon Coriander powder
3 tablespoons Butter
Preparation

Preheat the oven to 375F. Soak the basmati rice in water for 30 min and drain well.

Melt 1 1/2 Tbsp butter in a skillet and saute' the onions and raisins and cashew nuts till they turn golden brown.Set aside.

Melt rest of the butter in the skillet and add basmati rice and fry till they don't stick together.

Add all the spices and mix well.

Empty the basmati rice into a baking pan add salt and 1 1/2 cup of water.

Bake for 20 min or until the rice is done. Add the vegetables, onions, raisins and cashew nuts to rice and mix well.
