Broccoli Rabe With Garlic

Ingredients

1 large bunch broccoli rabe (about 2 pounds)
1/2 cup water

Preparation

1
Soak the broccoli rabe in a basin of cold water, allowing the sand to settle to the bottom; drain. Chop coarsely, discarding discolored leaves and pieces of stem.
2
Peel and mince the garlic. In a large skillet, heat the oil over high heat and saute the garlic for 15 seconds.
3
Add the chopped broccoli rabe and sauce for 2-3 minutes, tossing to coat all pieces with the oil. Reduce heat to low. Add the water, cover and steam for 25 minutes. Uncover, stir and serve.
