Rosemary Wine Syrup

Ingredients

1/2 cup Water
1/2 cup White wine
1/2 cup Sugar
1 strip of orange zest (3 inches)
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary leaves, chopped plus rosemary sprigs

Preparation

In a small saucepan stir together all ingredients until sugar has dissolved. Simmer for 4 minutes.

Strain the syrup through a fine sieve set over a bowl, pressing hard on the solids

Cover and chill until cold.

May use immediately or processed and stored in bottles or jars.
