Ingredients
1 5 pound
chicken
salt
and
pepper
Bread dressing:
4 cups
day old
bread crumbs
3 tablespoons
chopped
parsley
1/4 cup
chopped
celery
1 teaspoon sage
1/2 cup
melted
butter
salt
and
pepper
Preparation

Rub
the chicken with
salt
and pepper to
taste
and brush with
melted butter.

Place the
dressing
into the cavity and under the breast
skin.

Roast
in the oven about 1 1/2 hour

Bread
dressing
5
Mix
bread
crumbs, seasonings, celery and onions together, moisten with
melted butter.

For a 4-5 pounds fowl.

Variations: you
can
add yo yout
taste
nutmeats, pork sausage, bacon or mushroom.
