Revised Caramel & Apple Pie

Ingredients
6 cups peeled apple slices
1 9" unbaked pastry shell
3 Wrapples caramel sheets
1/2 cup flour
cup brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup chopped pecans
cup butter, room temp
Preparation

Place 1/2 apples in pie shell. Top with 2 caramel sheets, remaining apples and third caramel sheet, stretching slightly to cover top. Combine flour, sugar, cinnamon and nuts; cut in butter. Sprinkle over caramel sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 40-45 minutes.
If no Wrapple caramel sheets, place caramel pieces in a microwave save bowl, then microwave at 40%% until just syrupy. Drizzle over both layers of apple slices. Make more caramel syrup as needed.
