Green string beans with potatoes and smoked sausage

Ingredients

500g young green beans, cleaned
1 tbs olive oil
½ garlic clove, chopped
2 small potatoes, cubed
1 ½ l water
¼ tsp salt
150-200g smoked sausage, cut into chunks
2 tbs heavy cream

Preparation

Halve each string bean.

Sauté garlic briefly in olive oil.

Add string beans, potatoes and water. Season with salt.

Add sausage. Bring to the boil, then reduce the heat and cook, half-covered, for 15 minutes or until soft.

Remove from heat and whisk in the cream.
