Apple cinnamon coffee cake

5 Granny Smith apples, peeled and sliced

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 tablespoon of cinnamon

3 cups all-purpose flour

2 cups granulated sugar

3 teaspoons baking powder

2 teaspoons vanilla

4 eggs

1/4 teaspoon salt
