Fools Toffee
Ingredients
40 saltine crackers
1 cup butter
1 cup brown sugar
1 package chocolate chips
1 cup nuts or broken candies to sprinkle on top
Preparation

Line a cookie sheet with foil and spray lightly with non-stick spray

Cover the entire cookie sheet with saltines

In a sauce pan, combine the brown sugar and butter

Heat to a boil and stir the entire time. Start timing when sugar/butter begins to boil

Boil for 3 minutes, continuing to stir

Pour boiling hot sugar mixture over the crackers

Bake in oven at 350 for 14 minutes

Remove from oven and sprinkle chocolate chips over all

Spread chocolate over hot sugar

Sprinkle with nuts (or other candy topping if you choose)

Refrigerate until cold and break into bite sized pieces.

This is such an easy candy to make. It is also one of the most delicious candies that will ever come out of your kitchen! Be wary of the hot sugar though, you will be working with it boiling hot.
