Deva Naturals "Kaalae Cholae"

Ingredients
1 cup Dehydrated Black Chickpeas
1 medium Onion
1/4 cup Ginger
Salt to taste
1/4 teaspoon Ground Cumin
1/4 teaspoon Cayenne pepper
Cilantro for garnishing.
Preparation

Rinse and Soak Black Chickpeas in 4 cups of hot water in a pressure cooker overnight.

Next day

Saute Ginger & Onion, with dry ingredients in 2 Tbs. of Olive oil.

Add to the soaked Chick peas.

Close Pressure cooker and cook on on high till you hear the pressure and then turn down to medium heat/flame and continue to cook for 15 minutes.

Open Pressure Cooker carefully when the pressure/steam is completely out, (this may take up to 1/2 hr).

Saute chopped ripe tomatoes in 1 Tbs. olive oil.

Add the Deva Naturals Spicy Cilantro Compote.

Garnish with a sprig or two of cilantro.
