Ginger Puffs
Ingredients
2 cups Sifted all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 teaspoon Soda
1/2 teaspoon Salt
2 teaspoons Ginger
1/2 teaspoon Allspice
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 cup Shortening, soft
1/2 cup Brown sugar, firmly packed
2 Eggs
1/2 cup Light molasses
1 cup Cooked oatmeal, cooled*
Preparation

Sift together flour, baking powder, soda, salt and spices into bowl.

Add remaining ingredients. Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets. Bake in preheated moderate oven (375 F.) 12 to 15 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets; cool. Sprinkle with confectioners' sugar, if desired.

*NOTE: Cook Quaker Oats (quick or old fashioned, uncooked) according to package directions.

What kind of ginger? Your recipe doesn't say. Powdered, fresh, candied????

Hi Curt! This is not my original recipe, but I used powdered ginger in the recipe and then minced a bit of candied ginger to put on the top. HTH!
