Ingredients
4 quarts String
beans
, fresh or canned
1 cup
Sugar
1 quart
Vinegar
2 tablespoons
Mixed spices
Preparation
1
Wash fresh
string
beans. Remove
strings.
Cover with water to which 1/2 teaspoon
salt
has been added per quart. Cook until tender. Cover with a
pickling
sirup made of vinegar, sugar, and spices.
Boil
