Bobbi's Butter Pound Cake

Ingredients

3 sticks butter

6 eggs

3 cups sugar

3 cups cake flour

3 teaspoons baking powder

1/2 teaspoon salt

1 teaspoon vanlla

1 small contianer whipping cream

1 cup milk

Preparation

Pre heat oven 350

With mixer cream butter

Add sugar little at a time

Add eggs one at a time beating after each addition

Stir dry ingredients,in a bowl and add to mixer alternately with milk

Starting with flour and ending with flour add whipping cream

Mix in vanlla pour into greased and floured tube pan

Bake 1 to 1/2 hours until toothpick comes out clean

I started making this recipe a few years ago in georgia I had just purchased my hand mixer and I thought why not put it to good use so I did and made a big rectangle pan of pund cake which my husband started giving it away to the neighbors and the next time he saw the neighbor they kept asking my husband "when is your wife going to make some more it sure taste good" Now I only make it for holidays because it is a long prosses. I do have an event comming up soon and I will be making this recipe it's in november and it's my friends baby shower so I hope you all enjoy this rich buttery pound cake
