Granny's Apple Pie
Ingredients
4 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon vineger
7 granny smith apples peeled and decored
4 tablespoons water
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 cup sugar

Cut the shortening into the flour mixture until the pieces are the size of small peas

Combine the vinegar and water in a seprarate small bowl

Sprinkle the liquid mixture into the flour 1 tbsp at a time,until all the flour is moistenedand dough almost cleans the side of bowl

Remove dough from fridge. Divide dough in half and roll out on a lightly floured surface to form 2 - 1/8" thick disks.

Carefully place dough into pie plate, patching any tears by pinching with water.
Add fruit and cover with second disk of dough. Pinch edges together - for a decorative edge, use a fork to press dough together.
Cut 3 or 4 slits in top of dough and place in preheated oven.

this is my own made from scratch apple pie that I have been making for many years when my children were little I used to make this for them and they love it I made up the name of this recipe myself because I am a grandma and I use granny smith apples so try this out and believe me your fam will love it
