Bamje (Bosnian Dish)

Ingredients

1/2 kilogram Baby Okra (small lady fingers)
1/4 kilogram Lamb cubes
4 Onion medium size, chopped,
3 Tomatoes medium size, chopped,
1/2 Garlic, crushed, medium size
1 cup Olive oil
2 teaspoons Black pepper, freshly grated+ ½
1 teaspoon Salt

Preparation

Chop head and tail of Okra.

Fry in oil for 5-10 minutes, remove from oil and keep aside.

Now in the same oil add onion and fry on low to medium heat for 5 minutes, then add lamb cubes , tomatoes, garlic and pepper and salt and fry for another 5 minutes.

Now add 1 cup water and cook on low flame till meat is tender, then add fried okra and simmer.

Delicious Bamje/Bamji is ready.

Serve with bread and salad/raita.

This is not bosnian or albanian dish.This dish you can find everywhere on Balkan, Middle East, in Africa or Asia. It is stupid call this "Bosnian dish" because that is internationally used food. More stupid to call all yogurts "Greek". Greeks not invented that food. That food exist in Mongolia, Siberia, China, Turkey, Balkan , Eastern Europe for thousands years....Greeks started to make yogurt late in 19.century....
