Mustard Greens

Ingredients

1/2 cup of water
2 tablespoons of brown sugar
2 tablespoons of red wine vinegar
1 tablespoon of Kosher salt
2 tablespoons of olive oil

Preparation

Wash and cut or tear your greens

Add the greens and half a cup of water to a pot

Add two tablespoons of red wine vinegar, two tablespoons of brown sugar, two tablespoons of olive oil, and one tablespoon of salt to the greens

After the greens have reached a boiling point, reduce heat to low and simmer for an hour
.

About

Southern style mustard greens are cooked in ham hocks or fat back. Replace the meat with olive oil.
