Phool Gobhi Ka Bhurta (Mashed Cauliflower)

Ingredients

1 kilogram Cauliflower
1/2 cup Peas
1 cup Oil
1 Onion chopped
2 Tomatoes chopped
6 cloves Garlic crushed
2 inches Ginger crushed piece
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
Fresh Coriander leaves for garnish
Salt to taste
1 teaspoon Haldi
1 teaspoon Mustard whole
1 teaspoon Kalaunji whole
1 teaspoon Fennel whole
1 Cumin whole teasppon
1 teaspoon Garam Masala

Preparation

Saute onion in oil for few minutes.

Add garlic, ginger ,tomatoes and spices and fry for 5 minutes.

Now add Cauliflower and peas and cook on medium flame till tender.

Mash with the help of masher or with spoon till smooth and oil separatesout.

Sprinkle lemon juice and fresh coriander leaves, then simmer for 5 minutes.

Serve hot with Butter slices at top. It goes well with Roti.
