The McDonald's Shamrock Shake is back but unless you are a fast food junkie, visiting the golden arches will be out of the question. No worries, you can make a copycat version of the minty St. Patrick's Day shake in your own kitchen. Vanilla ice cream is blended with milk (whole, 2%, or 1%) and green food coloring until smooth. Top this delicious shake with some freshly whipped cream and a maraschino cherry.
Mint Shake
Serves 2
Ingredients:
1 3/4 cups vanilla ice cream
1 cup milk
¼ teaspoon mint extract
Green food coloring
1 cup heavy whipping cream
1/4 cup sugar
Maraschino cherries
Directions:
Combine ice cream, milk, peppermint extract, and food coloring in a blender and blend on high speed until smooth.
Whip heavy cream with sugar in a bowl until soft peaks form
Pour the shake into glasses and serve each with a straw.

Good recipe, i cannot wait to try, however instructions are a bit confusing. Says to combine ~all~ ingredients in blender, then says to beat cream and sugar seperately; i may have dumped the cream and sugar into the blender if i had not read through.
