Science Has Created Popeye the Spinach Pig?!

Pork GMO

Scientists in Japan have successfully created a pig with spinach genes! The idea is to make healthier pork. It's the first time mammals have been spliced with plant genes. The scientists removed the spinach genes and implanted them into fertilized pig eggs, and then implanted these eggs into a surrogate pig. The scientists did not disclose how these pigs may be healthier, but some experts in the field believe that the meat will contain proteins that are normally found in spinach leaves.

I have a better idea, eat loads of greens with your grass-fed, organic, and 100% mammal meats. Sure, the pigs seems normal now, but genetic weaknesses often take many generations to really show up. On another level, I don't want my food to sound like a sci-fi novel or an article from the Onion.
