It's safe to say that Christian Lopez's new beer of choice will be Miller High Life. On Saturday, the 23-year-old fan caught Derek Jeter's 3,000th hit -- a homerun -- and gave the ball back to the Yankee shortstop instead of keeping it and selling it as memorabilia. To thank Lopez, the Yankees gave him tickets and memorabilia that will likely cost him a windfall tax between $5,000 and $14,000. Miller High Life offered to cover that tax bill in full.
"Miller High Life believes you should be rewarded for doing the right thing, not penalized," said Brendan Noonan, the brand manager of Miller High Life. "We want to recognize Christian Lopez, and in turn everyone like him, for doing the common sense thing and help him continue to live the High Life."
What do you think about Miller High Life's choice to support Christian Lopez?

It's a smart PR move to get on the Jeter/Lopez bandwagon. They're gonna get good press and attention for their generosity. Not surprised

A nice gesture and a shrewd way from Miller to get their brand out there for a low price. It's a can't lose for all involved. Though it's not going to make me drink that flavor-less beer.
