Austrian thieves made a savory swindle over the weekend when they nabbed a parked semitrailer -- and the 21 tons of ketchup and mustard it contained. The truck was left in a parking lot northwest of Vienna over the weekend; when the driver arrived on Monday to take the semitrailer to its destination, he discovered that it had disappeared.
Austrian police estimated the stolen semitrailer's worth at about 15,000 euros; they weren't sure how much the condiment heist was worth.
