Bread pudding is an easy dessert that uses stale bread as the base. Essentially, you mix the bread cubes with a custard mixture made from eggs, milk, and sugar. If you do not have any stale bread, leave out some slices overnight to dry out. This versatile dessert can be made with a myriad of flavors from chocolate, to vanilla, to any kind of fruit or nut. I like to serve mine topped with whipped cream and caramel sauce.
Chocolate Bread Pudding
This version of bread pudding is rich with the flavors of dark chocolate.
Old Fashioned Bread Pudding
The original recipe has flavors of vanilla and is filled with raisins.
Banana Bread Pudding
Instead of making banana bread with your over ripe bananas make this bread pudding.
Pecan Bourbon Bread Pudding
The bourbon adds a kick to this bread pudding. Whiskey is a nice substitute.
Mixed Berry Bread Pudding
This bread pudding is best made during the summer when the berries are in season.
