Food products made for Starbucks, as well as other retail food outlets, were recalled by the maker's Lawrenceville, GA facility. Flying Food Group is recalling all sandwiches, parfaits, wraps, plates, and salads distributed to the famous coffee company, Core-mark Atlanta Division, and Race Trac because they have the potential to be contaminated with Listeria monocytogenes. As of this date no illnesses have been reported. Starbucks products were only distributed to retail outlets in Alabama and Georgia.

Listeria monocytogenes is an organism which can cause serious and sometimes fatal infections in young children, frail or elderly people, and those with weakened immune systems. Although healthy individuals may suffer only short-term symptoms such as high fever, severe headache, stiffness, nausea, abdominal pain and diarrhea, listeria infection can cause miscarriages and stillbirths among pregnant women.
