Obvious study findings of the day: Four Loko is hazardous to kids' health. Emergency room doctors at New York University recently published a report with 11 case studies of kids who ended up in the ER in 2010 after drinking the alcohol-filled energy drink; unsurprisingly, the drink messes young people up pretty badly.
All 11 of the patients profiled in the study were under 21; one was found unconscious at school, while another was discovered on the subway tracks, according to NYU pediatrician Deborah Levine. Her colleague Kelly Cleary added, "It's possible that these kids we saw drank much more than we would have if [Four Loko] wasn't caffeinated."
