The Simpsons Co-Creator Suing Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt

September 16, 2011

Pinkberry Frozen Yogurt is in a wee bit of trouble with the co-creator of The Simpsons, Sam Simon.

Simon purchased a property from Pinkberry after realtors insisted that the space was permitted for use for Simon's planned non-profit food bank. Simon took their word for it and purchased the property for $1.2 million.

But, as it turns out, the space was never permitted to be used as a food space. Pinkberry never got the space licensed and after further investigation, Simon found out that the only business that the space was listed for was auto-repair.

Simon is pretty upset about this ordeal, especially since he wanted to use the property for a very good reason. He is now suing the realtors involved and the co-founder of Pinkberry, Shelly Hwang.
