A Chicago subway car got a lush planting of grass and indigenous plants courtesy of the Mobile Garden project. The five-hour initiative was a part of the Art on Track festival, and enabled transit passengers to literally sit on grassy knolls and interact with nature during their commute.
The Mobile Garden project used donated plants and materials to cover the Chicago subway car with ivy, potted plants and hanging foliage awash in flowers and berries. The initiative was proposed by Noisivelvet.
