Having a list of cakes and other simple to make treats in your recipe box, is always a good idea. Usually, the cakes I share with you, are ones that I have had as a child growing up, and others that my children have grown to love.
This particular cake, is one that my mother wrote in my wedding recipe book. To be honest, I don't remember eating it as a child, but my kids saw the name, and ask for it often. I like to keep it unfrosted, and serve with whipped cream.
