Earn a Master's in Food Design

Académie Royale des Beaux-Arts de Bruxelles has recently begun a unique educational program where students can earn a Master's in Food Design. Instead  of seeing food as solely an object of subsistence, this program shows how food becomes a source of inspiration. 

This interdisciplinary program combines food styling, art, and design.  Students will be taught by an array of professionals including experienced chefs, designers, artists, food stylists, scientists in a traditional classroom setting as well as participating in specialized workshops. The team will be headed by food stylist Françoise Laskar, sculptor Jean-François Diord, and media writer Alok B. Nandi.

The Master's in Food Design begins in January 2012 .  Prospective students coming from the United States will require a bachelor degree (except students coming from culinary schools where they earned an associate degree).
