Here are some photos illustrating winter on a Washington State organic farm. Significant amounts of snow have fallen, and it has made for a dramatic landscape to compare and contrast with the days before this storm rolled in. All of these images are from Finnriver Farm and Cidery, an organic family farm located on Washington State's Olympic Peninsula.
I'm a little over halfway through my monthlong stay here, helping out in any way I can on the farm and documenting my experiences.

Of course there is still work to be done. Eggs are gathered twice daily, and every now and then you come across a blue egg:
And winter is a good time to bake some sourdough rolls for everybody on the farm. Nice to have a warm oven going, too:

And before this storm hit, I got to take a lovely day trip out to Port Angeles, with a lunch (and a view) to savor.

Warren,
It was already a beautiful pastoral setting but the fresh snow really transformed the place. Thank you for reading and your comment.
Cheers,
