Thought most famous for Sauvignon Blanc, the vineyards of Marlborough, New Zealand, produce a wide variety of other grapes. For example, Seresin Estate (where this photo was taken) also produces Chardonnay, Riesling, Gewurztraminer, Pinot Gris, Viognier, and (phew!) even a sparkling wine. Oh, and Pinot Noir as well. If you find yourself in Marlborough, located on the northeastern end of New Zealand's South Island, be sure to explore the wines of the region beyond the iconic Sauvignon Blanc. Or just ask someone at your local wine ship to track down some unique wines from Marlborough for you to enjoy at home.
