The latest Kit Kat mascot has a striking resemblance to Pedobear, according to Internet users, resulting in the Kit Kat Chunky-holding drummer to be pulled off the brand's Instagram account. The company, who claims to have never heard of Pedobear (a Japanese cartoon character that is Internet infamous for its association with pedophilia) had a lot of comments come in saying they were essentially identical.
This isn't the first time a mascot has been mistaken for someone or something else; an ice cream shop in Ocala, Florida had motorists confuse its mascot for a member of the KKK.
