On a recent evening out at one of our favorite local restaurants we ordered a couple glasses of whisky to take the chill off. They arrived in the coolest little squat glasses. The next day I contacted my friend, the owner, and asked what they were. "Aren't they the greatest?! They're Bormioli Rocco, they're cheap and they're stackable too!," she said. If a restaurant uses these thin little glasses, I figured they'd be durable enough for my family of 3. Plus, I loved that I could stack them to save room in my space-challenged kitchen. So we ordered a set (12 for only $23!). We use them for everything from spirits to wine, we even serve yogurt and sorbet in them. We love them so much we ordered the larger sizes: the medium size (12.5 ounces) is the perfect juice size, the larger (17 ounces) is great for water and beer. On a recent trip to Spain we discovered that nearly every restaurant we dined in also had these glasses. Bormioli Rocco is definitely on to something good.
