Halloween is the perfect time to play with your food! For your next Halloween celebration, why not serve both main dishes and desserts that are spooky and fun for your little ghosts and goblins. No worries, even though they might be scary, these foods are tasty as well.
At our house, traditional trick or treating is old news. Now, the kids all go Trunk or Treating, and that involves lots of repeat trips around the college parking lot, while parents hand out candy from decorated car trunks. It's a blast, without the dangers of candy-spiked darts into the street. We have made ourselves a new tradition, and enjoy a Halloween inspired meal before we go off to a night of T or T with all the other kids in the neighborhood. At least I know that one thing they ate didn't include sugar.
