Quick and Easy Beer Bread
Ingredients
2 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
2 Tbsp brown sugar
1/4 cup butter
1 cup dark beer
Preparation

In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt and sugar.

Melt butter and add to dry ingredients.

Pour beer over all and mix with a wooden spoon. Batter will be very soft.

Spoon into a greased loaf pan.

Bake at 375 for 45 minutes or until deeply browned.

Cool on a wire rack before slicing.

I guessed and baked it at 375° for 45 min and it turned out great. Might not use such a dark beer next time, but everyone liked it- hot and cold!

first try turned out a bit much like soda bread, I did'nt stir it a whole lot after adding the beer, I guess I'm used to pie crust or scone dough, you don't work them over much. The second bactch I used self-rising flour and stirred it a bunch, also used a lighter(ie less malty) beer we'll see how it comes out....
