The famous reality TV star and chef, Jamie Oliver, faces issues regarding the way food is cooked in his Jamie’s Italian restaurant chain in the United Kingdom. Customers and restaurant crews complained of food poisoning.
Health officials cited the restaurants for serving undercooked burgers using expired meat, and the use of unclean food processing equipment. They also cited its policy on the preparation of meat that potentially exposed customers to E.Coli bacteria – where the cooking practice is not enough to effectively kill the bacteria found in raw meat.
UK health inspectors urged the restaurant chain to stop serving undercooked burgers. Food safety expert Doug Powell suggests that Oliver improve his practices on food safety.
