Jesse Tittsworth, the co-owner of U Street Music Hall, recently ate the Moombahpus octopus cupcake above as a part of a challenge he issued to Mona Wilson from It's a Cupcake. Wilson had told Tittsworth that she could "turn any flavor into one bite."
Tittsworth took her up on the challenge, and headed to Philadelphia to try a deep-fried cupcake and the Moombahpus octopus cupcake. He called the savory treat "culinary genius" and "delicious," and his team documented the cooking process for Tittsworth.com fans. Would you try this unusual cupcake?
