Plant the Seeds for a Worker-Owned Grocery Store

The Sweetwork Project in Harlem, New York has some pretty inspired ideas about how to support and nourish their community.

"The project will provide affordable organic produce to a neighborhood with no vegetables AND promote radical access to work, a living wage, and ownership for young people who have spent time on the street."

The first phase will be a pop-up co-op which will sell organic coffee, and then they will move onto veggies once it's harvest time. A seasonal pumpkin patch will be used to fund their architect who will plan the brick and mortar store.
