Bruce Springsteen has gotten on board with a New Jersey-area organization that takes unwanted non-perishable food items from people who are moving and gives them to local food banks.
“When Bruce gave us his support, we were blown away! When I first started Move For Hunger, I never could have dreamed of having someone as amazing as him become involved with our organization," said Adam Lowy, the Founder and Executive Director for Move For Hunger. "He and his wife have always championed feeding the hungry. He mentions it at his concerts and has truly been a great advocate for the cause. As someone who was born and raised in New Jersey, it is unbelievable to have the boss on our side!”
Springsteen recently took to his Facebook page to ask his fans to vote for Move For Hunger in the Chase Bank's Community Giving competition which grants the winners with a $1 million grant.
