Liz McClarnon Becomes Chef for Night at Zilli Fish

October 6, 2011

Liz McClarnon got to play chef for a night when she took over Aldo Zilli's kitchen at Zilli Fish where she got to cook some of her favorite seafood dishes.

Liz's one-night menu included a set £40, three-course menu which included a glass of Prosecco and a choice of oysters Rockefeller with a shot of vodka gazpacho or stir-fried Udon to start. Diners had the choice of homemade sea-bass Kiev in a macadamia crust with mango salsa or grilled zucchini lasagna with scallops and monkfish in a saffron infused fish veloute. For dessert, Liz served a Pina Colada cheesecake with pineapple salsa and a sticky toffee pudding with Thunder and Lightening ice cream.

"I've known Aldo and his wife for a long time now and Zilli Fish is our place to meet up and put the world to rights," Liz said. "I am also a big fan of his menu and jumped at the chance to work for one night is his kitchen using Zilli Fish ingredients, just as long as he didn't make me do the washing up too!"
