Martha Stewart's Daughter Writes Tell All Book

October 8, 2011

Martha Stewart's daughter, Alexis, has written a tell-all book about her mom and she doesn't have too many nice things to say. In Whateverland: Learning to Live here, Alexis says there was never any actual food in the house.

"There was never anything to eat at my house," Alexis wrote. "Other people had food. I had no food... There were ingredients but no prepared food of any kind."

Nowadays, Alexis avoids having her mother over for dinner. "My mother will occasionally complain that I don't invite her over for dinner. But can you blame me? Because, sometimes this is what will happen: Whatever I serve, she'll sip it, taste it, make a face and push it away."

In the book, Alexis also talks about how Halloween was a non-event growing up and how Martha hated wrapping gifts. Alexis does, however, write about her will to stand up for her family and even dedicated the book to her mom.

Whateverland: Learning to Live Here hits shelves on October 18.
